Re: What's Growing, Was Re: Idea?


The zone stuff is the weather/temperature zone as defined by the US dept.
of Agriculture and by Sunset magazine, which is rather more thorough and
takes into account more factors than simple highest and lowest
temperatures. It helps to know the zone where someone is when they are
asking questions about why their garden is having problems or what will
grow well where they live, etc., so many of us have just incorporated it
