about 19 days in the plants looked a bit leggy and did not seem to be
growing
much.
I put half a teaspoon of Miracle grow in the 16 oz spray bottle and used
it
over the next two days.
21 days. Left the cover off for a day and the tray started to dry out.
several plants wilted.
22 days Plants did better with more water. largest plants now
touching the
cover. Time to let them go bare?
at 25 days the first set of plants is going strong. No losses except
the a
couple of seedlings at 21 days due to lack of water in one part of the
flat.
Several plants now have 4-6 leaves, stems thickening but still less than
1mm.
Second sowing mostly still in false leaves 1 inch tall.
Two of the 25 day plants are putting out very long thin leaves.
The largest plants are rounded red tinged leaves with varigated edges.
Another variety has shiny elongated round ended leaves with smooth
edges.
Under magnification, some leaves are quite hairy! Some have hairs that
appear
only at the edges of the leaves, and seem to grow from some kind of
structure
at the points of varigation.
One plant has a leaf that appears deeply veined.
Another has a grainy surface
Fascinating to watch plants this closely. Time to read some botany.
