Beans, peas and zucchinis sprout and grow so fast when directly seeded I
don't bother with pre-sprouting. However I do start cucumbers (which
are bigger than peppers, smaller than beans) indoors (not with paper
towel) and have found them to be finicky when transplanted. I wait for
the weather to be very stable - in an extended period of sunny warmth.
