I have done it with larger seeds.  With fast growing veggies like beans, or peas the trick is to remember to get them into soil before the roots become tangled.

I haven't tried it with beans, peas or zucchinis, but every flower seed I've tried it with has worked. I can't see why it wouldn't work with the bigger seeds and what does it hurt to try? Good luck!

I have tried this with small seeds(peppers etc) and it has worked well. Now I'm wondering if it'll work as well with bigger seeds that dont like being transplanted- beans, peas, zucchinis.Anyone tried this?
