Hi, Ian. I think I had written earlier to the list about having 'grafted'
tomatoes. I pieced together plants that had been broken off during a cat
fight.
The ones that had a clean break I used ordinary tape to hold together, and
those that were ragged and oozing I affixed with Bandaid brand medicated
bandages. I am not sure if tape would not have been just as effective with
both types of breaks, but have no way of knowing as I did not attempt to
isolate variables for control purposes.
