Subject: Corn varieties
Hello ! Last year I grew some white sweet corn (Alpine I think) and it developed corn smut. I want to eat the corn and not the fungus, so I'm looking for smut resistant varieties. I order my seeds from a variety of different catalogs such as Pinetree, Park, Jung, etc. They don't say much if anything about corn smut in their catalogs. Do you know of any white or even bicolor sweet corn that will resist this fungus ? If you have any information about this, please e-mail to; Bblac@Amcol.com or Bblac@Chemdal.com
Thanks !!!! Bev Black
