I start leeks indoors this time of year for an outdoor planting of
mid-April. Once the leeks are transplanted, they grow all season and they
are harvested in early fall (late september or early october). The plants
that I start growing indoors are intended to be transplanted out for this
season's "crop". I have yet to grow any plants indoors for eating,
something that I need to put on my "list of things to do".
Rene.
