I have just moved to a small rural town in
Victoria (southern Australia). The climate is considered cold by Australian
standards with frequent frosts in the winter and slightly acidic soil from the
high rainfall. I have only been here four months but have sucessfully grown
tomatoes, zuchinis carrots capsicums a number of herbs and some moderately
sucessfull pumpkins (all raised from open pollinated heritage seeds). I would be
interested in anyones experiences in growing vegtables in similar climates
especially with regard to acidic soils
