My 5' square plot provided a colander-full of beans every 1-2 days, which
was not only enough for eating (3 hungry people) but also for freezing.
I blanched the beans for 1 minute, plunged into boiling water, and froze
them in freezer bags. I like to steam them with butter, a bit of garlic,
and summer savory.
