Hi,
Don't use anything with tobacco in it on peppers. It can harbor a virus that
attacks them. I'm really rusty on what other plants, if any, might be
included in the list. I think the virus is the tobacco mosaic virus. Some
people don't smoke in the garden because of that. But this is from a really
rusty memory. I know the detergent and water is a good idea. Nicotine is a
potent insecticide, but tobacco shouldn't be applied directly. Hope these
fragments help a little.
