Subject: shallots Hi All
I would like to thank you all for your
generous knowledge and tips you sent to me the other day about shallots. I
am a new gardener and I am having a lot of fun with it. I moved to this
house 3 1/2 months ago, with a garden that just longs for a vegie garden, or
two. I am trying 4 small beds for the purpose of organic gardening. It is only
what I have read and seen on videos from the library, but already everything is
taking really well, but I have to be careful as my tomatoes of several varieties
are starting to show BUT I have these naughty possums that eat the crops. I am
forever putting down blood & bone and moth balls as I know they dont like it
at all, but the crafty little \?#!*<'s are climbing the trellis to eat the
tops of the tomatoes. I dont know what else to do, or if anyone else has this
problem. All suggestions are very welcomed, but I cant be cruel to animals even
though these are a pest.
