phenology

Hi all,

I should have probably posted this before I went off on my present slant.
So bare with me please as I correct my mistakes:

					PHENOLOGY
Phenology, which is derived from the Greek word phaino meaning to show or
appear, is the science of periodic events in the animal and plant world
as influenced by the environment, especially weather and climate.
Sprouting and flowering of plants in the spring, color changes of plants
in the fall, bird migration, insect hatches, and animal hibernation are
all examples of phenological events.
I have set out to study when these events coincide with one another so
that I can establish a system of gardening in relation to these
happenings.
My main purpose is to have a chart of plants that flower when certain
insects first begin to appear in the garden, and to use that chart to
moderate the damage these insect do, and establish a network of
beneficial insects to be on hand to deal with the harmful insects when
they appear.
Also I am working on the providing a accurate chart for planting food and
nectoring plants for the beneficial insect adults as they appear. Smitty
