In August last year there was a lot of discussion on this list about
tomatoes fruiting and how wonderful home grown tomatoes are! Living in
New Zealand, that was the middle of winter here and I was soooooooo
jealous. It's now mid summer and yesterday I picked and consumed my
first tomatoe. It was a taste explosion and I was glad it was a cherry
tom, I think I would have been overcome by taste had it been any bigger!
I look forward to many more fruit over the next few weeks.......we have
over 50 tom plants, from the cherries to beefsteaks, black, yellow, green
et al.......summer's going to be good!
