Hey Lauren,
I once watched my dog snuff out a woodchuck life by sinking her teeth
into the creature's neck and head. She ate it down about five days
later. I specualte it was to allow the juices to solidify and the meat
to season. It was quite the stinky corpse.
I hear you about all the plebes getting riled up over the death of a
pest. Do they express the same sentiment when some human pest gets
punished or in the extreme case, get put to death?
I sort of felt bad for the woodchuck, though. It was minding it's own
business in the brush and my spreeing dog found it out. There was really
no reason for her to kill it.
