Brenda:
I'd be willing to share the experiences that I've had with strawberries, it
may not provide you with any answers though especially since I'm in a
somewhat different climate: Wisconsin.
What do you want to know? How many are you planning on growing?
I'm a commercial grower in Wisconsin. We have about 12 acres of
strawberries. 6 for U-pick, 5 for direct sales, and 1 for wholesale and
other odd and ends.
If you really like growing "big" stuff get into giant pumpkin growing.
Myself, Duncan, and many other people on this list suscribe to a giant
pumpking discussion group(also managed by Duncan). If you want the
excitement of seeing something grow really big really fast.....get into
pumpkins.
Keep talking,
Rick
