My mother controls her woodchuck incursions by planting cheap hostas. There is a variety called Hosta undulata 'Erromena' that grows like a weed and woodchucks eat it like candy. She keeps it on the outskirts of her property and the woodchucks stay out there with it. A bobcat and some feral cats keep the woodchuck population in check, so there doesn't seem to be any overflow into her yard and garden. Sheila Smith mikecook@pipeline.com Z 5/6
