I have used a garlic spray with a bit of success. The recipe I have used is as
follows:
10 to 13 unpeeled cloves of garlic
1 teaspoon mineral oil
1 teaspoon liquid nondetergent soap
1 cup of warm water
Crush garlic or chop finely. Place garlic & mineral oil in glass
container(jar), stir lightly adn let stand for at least 24 hours. Then, in a
bowl, place soap, water & garlic-oil mixture. Mix well adn strain into storage
container (jar). Store in refridgerator for several weeks.
To use, dilute 1 to 2 tablespoons concentrate to 1 pint water and spray on
plants. Be sure to spray thoroughly the undersides of leaves where pest
congregate.
*Variation: Substitute garlic powder (not garlic salt) for the fresh garlic.
Use 1/8 teaspoon powder for each garlic clove.
