I just ordered with Territorial Seeds. I had I use Seed Blum's and
Shepherd's catalogue to identify the Open-Pollinate and Heirloom
varieties. They have more selection than Shepherd's.
They will have my order to my house by next week, all 50+ packets
(some flowers and herbs to ''buddy-up'' with the veggies). Potato
''minitubers'' will arrive in Spring at planting time, with no added
handling change.
Trying out several kind of squashes, including an Oregon heirloom of
hubbard called 'Sweet Meat'. Momma says grandpa stored these in their
attic and they would last a year. Gosh, I hope I like them.
Territorial also offered some delightful sounding salad blends, with
wild onion, basil, chives, cress, parsley, and lemon basil all mixed
in with the assorted lettuces. I ordered 5 of the 7 they offered. Now
to keep the weeds out of the salads... any pointers ???
Sincerely,
~Carleen~
