Re: Growing artichokes

We are 2nd year Market Growers in Zone 7.  In reviewing the seed catalogs
this year, I found that Johnny's from Albion Maine has artichoke seed which
would appear to indicate that those of us in the somewhat cooler areas
might want to try this as an annual. I am not sure about the acceptance of
artichokes in AR but we do sell at Little Rock's River Market in the spring
and summer and they do have an up-scale clientele.  Might be an interesting
trial and worth a chance?
