Re: spuds

Kristie,
It was me, Lorraine, that added that little bit of information  about planting by the waning moon, gleaned from an email to a listserve, from Orin in Arizona. I was ready to plant my potatoes so thought "why not?"  Many people do use the moon philosophy to plant with and the moon does do wonderful things with tides so ..........I went for it and planted a few potatoes on the 15th. You can probably wait until the next waning moon there in So. Cal where it does not get too hot.

Okay you guys/gals....tell me about this waning moon business!  I thought Steve was kidding or just superstitious, but is there really something to this?  Is it tradition?  What?  (btw, I have my I do put shiny tin cans under my veggies to help them along using electro-magnetic fields to conduct nitrogen in the soil, so I am open to things like waning moons.)

Have I missed my chance to plant potatoes?
