This novel idea got me to thinking, a rare occurence. With more moderate
weather have been working on our Cold Frame, may turn it into a Hot Bed,
using heat tape which is left over from previous projects. Am going to
try some spinach & lettuce plantings first, may follow with peas. Figure
that after sowing seed, lay out tape in rows, use some bricks to provide
air space, lay thin particle board on bricks, lastly a sloping shield of
translucent corrugated roofing. Happen to have all items on hand so cost
is not objective. Will have to try this on more tender crops if it
works.
