It's my first time too.I've only planted our local chillies in Singapore so I have no idea.My bell pepper plant is still young and doesnt look too good lately.I'm also wondering if I should cut down on the waterings.

I am living in Singapore and had tried to grow bell pepper. I planted in Jan and the plants started to bear peppers within 4 months. The peppers dropped when they were in size of lime. Though some grew as big as size of tomato, they finally dropped before it was ready to harvest. The leaves turned curly and dark green and finally stopped bearing peppers.
 
Anyone can help me by explaining whether it was too much water or wrong fertilizer I was using?

Hi,
I've been told that putting matchsticks in pepper pots provides magnesium and helps them grow faster.Is that true?Is it safe?I'm planting bell peppers for the first time and also need to know how often I should water.I live in Singapore and it is very hot right now- almost the 90's all day, early 80's at night.Thanks.
