We used netting (bird/deer- all the same) for birds and miscellanous
wildlife also. But- Learned the hard way that a border of 2x4's is better
than rocks around the base, as we had more than one bunny get really tangled
up after sneaking under. Even easier if you don't have a large area- use
hardware cloth or other stiff wire cage material and make a square/rectangle
with an open bottom and drop it over the lettuce- easier for people to get
in and out of and bunnies never get under it- nor when they hop on top do
they crush the veggies underneath

Hi Cindi,
Thanks.
Is bird netting the same as deer netting, or does it have smaller holes? I
no longer have a supplier nearby to buy these items and will have to order
by mail, so it would be helpful to know in advance. I may have some deer
netting around here somewhere, though, and was wondering if it is the same
thing.
