I am new and find important, useful garden info.
Organic Gardening suggested a 3-tier crop...corn, pole beans, and 
summer squash, all compatible, planted together. The pole beans would
climb the corn and the squash providing a ground cover. I've got beans
and corn "knee high the 4th of July" (our area), but no squash!
Watering at dusk works better for me.
