Lorraine Hoag
Lorraine--I really like the Vegetable Production Guidelines database on
your site as well. What a great regional resource to be part of!
I featured the Veg Production page as a *Net Find* on my Vegetable Gardens
at the Mining Company site recently. It now has a permanent place in the
Resource List --a library of annotated links--under Regional Growing Guides.
And Duncan and other Veggie List readers, I can't resist the opportunity to
plug my own web site--http://vegetablegarden.miningco.com/
Vegetable Gardens at the Mining Company
I've tried to create a useful directory of resources, but what I most enjoy
is writing original features on Vegetable Gardening topics that are close
to my heart--from compost to tomatoes, to onions and salad greens, heirloom
varieties etc.
The archive of past features can be found at
http://vegetablegarden.miningco.com/library/weekly/mpreviss.htm
In fact, if anyone has suggestions for topics they would like to see
covered please don't hesitate to send me e-mail on the topic, or post to
the list.
The site follows the templates and parameters defined by TMC and their
goals, but I see it as a way to explore the Web, and share my gardening
interests, experiences and concerns. And learn alot about creating usable,
attractive web pages. But enough SSP (shameless self-promotion)
Two of my current favorite gardening sites are highly regional in their
emphasis--these are:
Vegetable Gardens of the Columbia Basin
http://www.poplaracre.com/
and Gardens of the Golden Horseshoe
http://www.interlog.com/~ggh/ggh.htm
from Southern Ontario, Canada.
There are many inspiring pages dedicated to specific vegetables--some of my
favorites like Keith's Tomato Page, The Garlic Page, and The Rhubarb
Compendium can be found in The Vegetable Bin section of my Web site link
directory at
http://vegetablegarden.miningco.com/mlibrary.htm
Duncan, keep us posted.
Regards,
Havi
