Re: Introduction

Thanks everyone for the book info. I'm on to a good start!

Well, we planted the veggie garden on Friday. Yes, Friday. The cool season
crops were harvested the day before. Yes, the day before. In case you're
wondering, the plantings have been late because there was no gardener in my
area for a long while, and I've just come to this garden. Something had to
go in because all the brassicas were bolting like mad, and all the summer
crops were cropping in their four inch pots!

Anyway, we planted tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, zuccini, squash and beans.
A sorry looking sight if ever I saw one. Very spindly looking things that
look even worse now that I've snipped many of them to make them bushy. Now I
have to go and water them today. That's what happens when you plant the day
before a three day holiday weekend. Great timing!

Well, thanks again for all the recommendations. I was actually thinking of
looking for Joy Larkcom's books having heard her name often. Nice to know
that some recommend her. Also, Colin Bownes mention Geoff Hamilton's book,
Ornamental Kitchen Garden. Can you give me the ISBN number? Thank you.

Now I'm off to the pollination page. Hope everyone is having a great
holiday.

Sincerely,
'
William
