I didn't see anyone else answering this (and Mr. Leyda
has probably already done something with those ashes),
but I'd guess you shouldn't use charcoal-grilling ashes
on the garden because of additives to make the stuff
burn better. I may even have heard or read that
somewhere. How's that for two cents' worth and
not a penny more?

I thought about additives but I thought they may have burned off. No sense
taking a chance, I will put them on a patch of grass and see what happens
