Maybe a little of each...as a long-time kale grower I know that some-
times the bugs will gnaw down your small seedlings in the garden,
but it's probably also sensitive to too little light.
It's a little early to be planting kale where I am--South Carolina--
since it's supposed to be a cool weather crop, but it does live
on through the summer if you let it. The aphids and worms
chew it up, though, and it tastes horrible in the hot weather.
