Re: zucchini troubles

Sounds like you may have 1 of 2 things happening. The flowers that you're
seeing may only be the male flowers of zucchini which will not develop into
fruit anyway. Most zucchini, squash & cucumber will develop male flowers
first. These drop-off naturally.

Female flowers have a mini "bulb" at the base of the flower. If these are
the ones that are dropping off, pollination (or lack there of) is the
problem. Bees are not making it to your flowers so you're going to have to
do a bit of pollinating by hand. Get a paint brush and go around to the male
flowers & pick up the pollen. Brush it on the female flowers well, right in
the center where the receptor is. Should do the trick.

> I'm growing zucchini for the first time from seed. The plants have grown
well. However, every flower, after blooming, has snapped off the stem. I
can't get any zucchini to grow. I've got lots of blossoms and greens but no
vegetables!! Does anyone know why this is occurring? Thanks!
