Re: : Feeding Questions

NESA,
NESA,NESA,
I'm so happy for you! What an opportunity to bring your community together.
As ancient as you are (HA, I'm 54 what does that make me? Scary) I would
suggest to you that you follow Neil Diamond's advise and :grab the old ladies,
scoop up the babies" and head to the plot and have the "Ancients" "teach their
children well". In this day and
age, children are lacking the connection to their heritage that held society
together in the past. Use this opportunity to have the "old" show the " new"
the joys of hands in the Earth. This is what I am doing in Pennsylvania, and
why not spread to word to Asia and all
points?
For all of you out there, Plant A Row is a non-profit organization that will
help you put together a program FREE. They are international an love to hear
from all and anyone interested. They are sponsored by the Garden Writers
Association of America (gwaa.com) and the Home and Garden Network (hgtv.com).
They will send out packets for you use, row markers, etc. CONTACT THEM at
par@gwaa.com. Nursery owners should also be in
touch, as, my locals are donating plants, seeds, soil, etc. and PAR is happy to
allow them to use the posters, markers logo, as well as, there "community
service" TV ads. My Nurseries are asking folks to "PLANT A ROW" to feed the
hungry (all food donated is tax deductible), donate a row of plants to on of
the community gardens, etc. This is a great way for them to A. Sell more. B
.Use there print ads to help the community (attach logo to current ads) and
best of all , C. Bring youngsters into the Garden and off the streets. (also
promotes future business) NESA, if you need any help, call
1-570-476-1126, write Rena Falcone, 3E E.D. Christine Drive, Stroudsburg, PA.,
USA, or e me renabean@noln.com. That goes for all of you as, I know by now how
passionate you all are. Hope to hear more of your tale. "r"
