Pam,
I don't know if I am correct, but when it happens to me I always blamed it on
"too wet". I have always gotten a sufficient harvest so I never really
tracked it down. Hopefully someone else knows the real reason.
This year the ants decided to make their home in my squash bed and it seems
they have eaten every last seed.........so no squash for me this year :<
