I planted beans of various kinds in peat pots - upon checking to see why
many didn't germinate, there were none in the little pots.  I suspect
the blue jays made off with them!

Growing your own lima beans?  They're my favorite - with lots of melted
butter.  Yum!  But not recommended for growing this far north,
unfortunately.
