Re: corn


What pests are you worried about? I never get any in my corn. But there is
a worm that can cause damage. You can kill it by squirting a little mineral
oil down inside the tip of each corn ear. I think it smothers the worm. Do
make sure you shake the tassels so the pollen falls down on the silks, or
you won't get any ripe kernels in your ears. Each silk strand leads to one
corn kernel. Each one has to be polinated in order to develop into a mature
kernel.
