In the grand scheme of things I don't think that colony of ants will
make much difference if it survives or not. Ants are in no way in
danger of extinction. They (along with cockroaches) will be around long
after we've killed ourselves off. Pour boiling water on the nest, wait
a few days, and plant your raspberry.
