Janet, I am hoping that you may do a favor for me. Every time I try to post a message on the veggie-list, I get un-subscribed. Apparently there is something wrong with my computer that upsets the system that the veggie-list uses. I don't have this trouble at all with the other lists that I am on and I don't know enough about computers to even understand an explanation of how I might fix it. (I also have found it impossible to figure a way to get my computer to work to get on the Thursday night chat session.) I will re-subscribe one more time and just be a listener. (Yes, this will slowly kill me.) As long as I don't post, I think I will be able to stay subscribed. The favor I ask is that you post this message to the list for me so that everyone knows why I can't respond. (But be careful out there, I am still listening, and I KNOW your addresses!) Thank you Janet. Stan the cheap and lazy gardener P.S. In answer to why I water every day: The eastern half of Colorado is semi-arid. (Normal lawn grasses will die if not watered throughout the summer and sometimes need water to stay alive in the winter). Since I have everything on timers, I feel better about giving everything a little water many times rather than a lot of water only a few times. What do you think? The dry wind, the hot sun, and the low humidity can dry things out amazingly fast. I also think of hydroponics as having the plants roots wet all the time as long as they still get air, as being a desirable thing. OTOH, this is probably not how plants evolved in the first place. Oh well, I tries my best and I takes my chances. Believe me, I am very open minded to any suggestions. Thanks for your help Janet. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
