Hi Monica
Johnson's Blue will grow in shade or semi shade and doesn't really mind the
sun either. We have several varieties of geraniums all of which we
purchased as plants from a grower. You may get them in a Garden Centre. I
have never tried growing from seed.
One small word of warning, Johnson's Blue is a thug of the plant world. It
is a survivor and will colonise a large area of the garden unless you are
very firm with it. It doesn't take offence at being cut back though. Just
rip out the bits you don't want and the rest will carry on regardless.
We have a large patch in our garden and it is a lovely sight in the early
summer, right about now in fact. :)
Regards
Stephen

Does anyone have any info on Johnson Blue Geraniums? I read about
them, but do not know where to purchase them. They are for a shade
garden, sounds like they would add color.
My veggie garden is doing well, I am a lurker to the list, and have
learned alot by reading all the messages I get.
I live in Indiana, so the weather is either hot or cold, depending.
Thanks for any info.
Monica
ps Stan, the lazy gardener, keep up the good work, I enjoy reading
your messages.
