Allan, I just visited that website and checked out the
Q&A section. This is great. Thanks for finding such
a valuable site.
If the copper strip that they sell really works, then
that seems to be the best answer to the slug problem.
Being and inch and a quarter wide,(if I am reading it right)
gives plenty of contact area for the slug to deal with.
I only wonder how effective it will be when it corrodes, (turns green)
Maybe the corrosion won't make a difference.
OTOH, it does seem a bit pricey. There must be
something cheaper in copper out there that would do
the job just a well.
Maybe 1/2 in copper plumbing pipe perimeter around the
garden which could also be modified to use as the main water
carrier for irrigation systems to hook up to. You might
be able to "T" in a sprinkler here, a drip system there, here a
drop, there a drop, everywhere a drop drop.
(But, of course, I always tend to get carried away)
Thanks again for your ideas and the website.
Stan the cheap and lazy gardener.
