The worst weed here (upper South Carolina) is
Bermuda grass, called by some "devil grass."
It spreads by runners that burrow as far as 6
inches underground. When you try to pull it,
you just snap off the top part, although doing
this frequently does at least keep your veg.
garden from becoming a lawn.
I've considered using an artists' paintbrush
to apply weed killer carefully to the tips of
the grass but wonder if that would spread
through the soil to the veggies. There's one
way to find out....
