Did they NOT let you join in?  Don't put poison ivy. It's not funny. 
Reserve that for the neighbor who leaves his garbage cans out in front of
your house all week, with everything overflowing, throws used cat litter
down the storm sewer, rents an illegal apartment to the most creepy looking
individuals who all leave after 6 months, and dumps yard waste in the
circle of our cul de sac.  I have considered planting some ribes species
next to his row of white pines that he planted RIGHT on our property line,
which will totally shade 1/2 of my yard in a couple of years but I don't
think that rust is prevalent around here.  I have also considered planting
some dodder there, but I haven'tseen any around lately, and it could
backfire by coming into my yard, andi have more to lose than he.  Okay,
evil Stan, what should I drop into HIS yard?
