Hi all,
This year I want to mulch much more than I have in the past in my veggie
garden. I live in a part of so calif that is frost free (2 frosts in 30
years), and already have lots out in the ground growing. The recently talked
about cukes, chile peppers, tomatoes, coles, onions, leeks, chard, beets,
lettuce, peas, etc. With summer squash, corn, early melons and beans to
be transplanted outside next week.
How soon do you think I can begin mulching? Is it better to wait till the
soil warms up more, or just do it now? Average temps are mid 60's into 70's
daytime and 50's nighttime.
Thanks, Janet.
