Tom,
First of all when those seedlings appear keep them much closer to the
florescent lights. They need o be no more than 3 inches from the light
source. Also you need to have those lights on a timer, the optimum is 18
hours of light and 6 hours of rest. The artificial light is much weaker
than sunlight.
As for saving the seed store in paper envelope and place in a jar. To
keep moisture out place powdered milk in the bottom of the jar to keep
seeds dry. As always keep in cool dark dry place until next year.
