Lettuce

Every year, I try a couple new types of lettuce.  Last year I tried Park
Seed Co.'s Lettuce 'Ibis'.  Not one plant germinated; I tried twice with
the same result (once indoors and once out in the garden).  Has anyone else
tried to grow this lettuce and if so, what was your luck?
