go to the hardware store and purchase a shelving unit $10,
and 4 sets of florescent shop lights, for about $10 per unit. the lights come
with the bulbs and chains. just attach the chains to the shelves and hang the
lights. i germinate my seedlings upstairs on top of a Florissant light. then
when they germinate i put them under the same light until they get their first
set of true leaves. the lights are about 1-2 inches above the seedlings. after
that i transplant them to 6 packs or peat pots and put downstairs under the
lighting system i mentioned earlier. i like to put aluminum foil behind under
and around the trays for better light and to keep any moisture from rusting
the shelves.
