Re: Are You Happy?

Yes, the volume of messages isn't too high and everyone seems to basically
stick to veggies and related topics. I think it's an exception to many
gardening mailing lists and the reason why I've stayed on for so long, even
though I haven't posted much in the past. Thanks for asking Duncan.

don't like it. I would like to add more information on the top five
vegetables. What do you think are the top five vegetables? My thoughts

It's probably somewhat dependent on local soil conditions, culture, etc...
I've already read some of the responses and they vary pretty widely.
Tomatoes are definitely one of the top and I imagine beyond that it's hard
to say. Personally I don't like radishes and find it tough to grow carrots
of any size in my clay soil. Brassicas of any sort don't do too well
although I love them. And growing enough corn for a worthwhile harvest
takes up too much room for many of us suburban gardeners. High yield in
limited space with amended clay soil is what I look for - based on that:

Tomatoes
Lettuce
Spinach
Beans
Peas

Hmmm... maybe your web page could have different sections for different soil
conditions/zones?
