Re: Raised beds


I edge my raised beds with bricks, which I have always
gotten free (most of them were leftovers after this house was built.) 
They have the advantage of being movable and looking good (the main
reason for any edging; it does work to just heap up the soil and leave
it alone.)  Disadvantages, if you get the bricks with holes in them, are
that weeds will find a way to grow in the holes, and sometimes black
widow spiders will decide to live there (also watch out when moving the
bricks or any other materials that could provide small sheltered
places.)
