Elaine,
Our average frost date is mid-April, but this year we have had some late
frosts. This is the first year, though, that I managed to get my cool
weather crops planted very early -- radishes, peas, potatoes -- and it's
very rewarding to have something to harvest by May 1!
Would love to hear more details about your parterre garden. I'm not sure
exactly what that is. What will you be planting this week?
