I planted edamame last year. They were doing great until one night when the
deer came through -- ate the plants right down to the nub . . . The same
happened a few years ago when I tried green beans. No more beans for me!
There's plenty of heat here. By Thursday we should be near 90 (cooling down
a bit for the weekend again, though). I'm spending a lot of time watering
the veggie babies. Dill and fennel seeds are just sprouting. Still waiting
for the marigolds.
