To save money & improve upon the products currently available, I now mix
my own potting mix.

3 parts peat
3 parts filtered compost
2 parts vermiculite
2 parts perlite
a trowel full of organic 5-5-5
a trowel full of dolemite lime

Have transplanted two tomato plants to container with the above mixture. 
For anyone interested, I will report on the progress of these two
plants.
