pollination

Dave, thanks for the pollination info on melons in general and canteloup in
particular. Here on Vancouver Island (Canada) I've been growing canteloup
in an unheated greenhouse for a few years. We generally have good luck
with the fruit but sometimes it is under developed. Probably our "good
luck" is helped by our two bee hives, which get moved nearer to the veggie
garden and greenhouse after the bees have done their work of helping set
fruit in the orchard. We also get help by providing comfortable homes for
the solitary wild bees we have here. Thanks again for the interesting info
on melon pollination.
