Oops, lets not go there, Janet! I am talking about ONE fly - one which I
know is a garden pest, I just can't remember what it does (it may be the
one that has leaf-miner babies). I use no poisons, even the so-called
organic ones, and leave the bugs alone if the damage they do is minimal.
However, I have lost my broccoli four years in a row to maggots, and since
I don't use poisons, there is nothing I can do once the eggs have hatched,
so my concern was that if this was a cabbage fly, I wanted those eggs gone.
I allow weeds, plant fungi, and other 'pests' to flourish all over my
property. I am entirely sure you would never let your garden look like
mine in the interest of letting nature balance itself. Me, of all people,
you should not be accusing of naturcide. The next time you feel like using
me to unload about your pet peeves, I ask that you follow chat-group
courtesy and contact me privately.
